The Global Citizenship Conference (GCC) is a unique event that provides tools and resources to promote global citizenship as a way to work together to solve today's challenges around the world.
The future needs passionate, intelligent and confident young leaders willing to challenge the status quo and reach out for a better tomorrow. Our 28th annual Global Citizenship Conference tapped into the collective intelligence of young change makers from around the world, at the intersection of Sustainability, Technology, and Social Innovation.
To build a global community around Global Citizenship in order to promote the concept and its practices
To further the learning and leadership development of Melton Fellows as global citizens and advocates of global citizenship through trainings, workshops and project collaborations
To bring global citizenship to the “grassroots” level, by working on local aspects of global issues at the conference venue and surrounding local community.
Melton Fellows around the globe work in remote project teams, facilitated by the HPI School of Design Thinking, to deliberate on pressing global issues and act on them locally. At our annual GCC, these remote project teams unearth their potential!
All the action from our day on-ground! Melton Fellows and India GCC 2019 participants visit prime project centers in Bangalore, and get their hands dirty as we uncover Sustainability, Technology and Social Innovation at the grassroots!
Global Citizens discover exciting opportunities to learn about and experience some glorious aspects of Indian culture as part of our 'Intercultural Capsulas' such as Yoga, Kho-kho and Rangoli! A holistic intercultural experience!
